Richard and Kate are the co-owners and chefs of Vedge, an award-winning vegan restaurant in Philadelphia. The menu at Vedge is globally inspired using locally-sourced seasonal ingredients.
Rich has been at the forefront of vegetarian dining since 1994, when he opened his first restaurant. He has been nominated multiple times for the James Beard Foundation Best Chef Mid Atlantic, and in 2013 he appeared on the Food Network’s Chopped — and won!
Kate is the pastry chef at Vedge — she’s a James Beard Nominated Pastry Chef — and she also manages its cocktail and wine program.
They’ve also managed to find time to publish a cookbook together featuring 100 recipes, aptly titled Vedge.
