Food, Glorious Food!

There is one factor that universally brings people together and is enjoyed by everyone. Can you guess? It’s FOOD!

Oftentimes vegetarians and vegans are asked the question: “…but what do you eat if you don’t eat meat?” The DC VegFest is a perfect place to experience the best-tasting plant-based food around, courtesy of our amazing lineup of sponsors and restaurant vendors.

So, what exactly will be available for hungry attendees at the DC VegFest this year? Satisfy your sweet tooth with a trip to Vegan Treats, the popular Pennsylvania bakery is sweet enough to join us again this year!

Looking for some ethnic deliciousness? Head on over to Amsterdam Falafelshop booth for some deep-fried yumminess with the flavors of the Middle East. Feeling spicy? Everlasting Life Café, Woodland’s Vegan Bistro, and Vegetable Garden are a few of the all vegan restaurants you can visit in the DMV area. They are local favorites with classic soul food and Chinese dishes. We are so excited to have them join us for another VegFest. Each year, new vendors participate in the festival and bring their own unique flare. We are delighted to welcome Equinox to our list of restaurant vendors. Chef Todd Gray has been providing vegan fine-dining options in the district for some time, and his restaurant even offers a vegan brunch menu on Sundays.

Interested in the wonders of raw food, or perhaps just in need of a nice refreshing pick-me-up? Make your way to Khepra’s Raw Food Juice Bar and refuel your body with fresh vegetables and fruits. Barefoot Bucha and Craft Kombucha are local kombucha breweries; if your taste buds are seeking something a little different, try kombucha!

Commercial exhibitors such as Go Chili’s, Treeline, Daiya, and Tofurky will be offering free samples of their food, so be sure to save some space in your stomach! There is something delicious for everyone at DC VegFest; check it out for yourself! While not all of these restaurants are fully vegan, all food served at the DC VegFest is 100% vegan. The presence of non-vegan companies at DC VegFest shows how simple it is to eat plant-based in the district, wherever your travels take you.
