Our First Veggie Obstacle Course: Are you and your friends ready for the challenge?

If you’re feeling energized and want to show-off your DC VegFest plant-based power, we’ve got the event for you: new this year, we’re featuring a veggie obstacle course!

Open to everyone regardless of your athletic prowess (limited spots are available though), competitors will put their fruit-peeling and cupcake-eating skills to the test.

How does it work? The course allows four contestants to compete at one time. We’ll run 3 heats, for a total of 12 contestants. The best part? The winner (whoever finishes fastest) in each heat will receive $10 DC VegFest Bucks — and the overall winner will receive $20 DC VegFest Bucks and a DC VegFest t-shirt! DC VegFest Bucks can be used to purchase food or beverages from any food vendor at the event (excludes alcohol and pre-packaged items). Each buck is equivalent to one dollar.

The Course: Here are the obstacles, and each step must be completed before moving on to the next:

  • A fruit smoothie relay challenge
  • A veggie corn hole shootout
  • And of course, a Vegan Treats cupcake eating contest

Are you ready? The Veggie Obstacle Course will start promptly at 3:20 near the kids’ activity.

Sign up: Challenge your friends or sign up individually! You must fill out the form below by Fri., Sept. 27. We’ll accept the first 16 submissions (3 full races plus four wait-listed competitors) and notify you prior by Saturday morning if you’ll be competing.

We're sorry, but this survey has closed. Thanks for attending, and we'll see you next year!
