Sponsor Highlight: Vegan Treats

Compassion Over Killing is thrilled to call the acclaimed Vegan Treats bakery a sponsor of the 2013 DC VegFest. Running her bakery out of Bethlehem, PA, Vegan Treats founder Danielle Konya has won the hearts, minds, and tastebuds of vegans and vegans-to-be with her delectable cakes, doughnuts, French pastries, and more. For over ten years, Danielle and Vegan Treats bakery have provided compassionate baked goods to their loyal customers in New York City, Washington D.C., Baltimore, and Philadelphia, but they have also earned national fame. Indeed, VegNews has given Vegan Treats several “favorite vegan bakery” awards, while PBS’ Feast of Sweets named Danielle Best Overall baker among over fifty non-vegan competitors.

While crafting her famous Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse Bomb cakes and Vanilla Soy Chai doughnuts, Danielle always maintains a focus on animal advocacy, proudly using baking as activism. In addition to artfully demonstrating the deliciousness of vegan food, Vegan Treats actively supports animal advocacy groups like Farm Sanctuary, The American Anti-Vivisection Society, and the Humane Society of the United States. Compassion Over Killing is proud to be among the groups championed by Vegan Treats.

The DC VegFest depends upon generous sponsors such as Vegan Treats. If you’re involved with a business, please consider signing up as a sponsor of the 2013 event. If not, be sure to stop by the 2013 DC VegFest on Saturday, September 28 at the Yards Park to partake in scrumptious goodies from Vegan Treats and more. We know we’re looking forward to indulge in Vegan Treat’s delicious hand crafted desserts!
